Reliable, Advanced System Uses Trouble-Free Wireless Connections
Keep your home or business safe and secure with this reliable, cutting-edge wireless security system. The SC-100 utilizes innovative technology with trouble-free wireless connections to provide security, making it a great choice for protecting against intruders and safeguarding in case of an accident, fire, flood, or other emergency.

Works with up to 30 Skylink Accessories for Easy Customization and Expansion
Because the SC-100 works in conjunction with up to 30 Skylink security accessories, including Dial Alert, it can be customized to suit your needs. This flexibility means you can easily expand your system to accommodate larger spaces or businesses that require a higher level of protection.

Do-it-Yourself System Eliminates the Need for Monitoring Fees
The SC-100 is a do-it-yourself system, which means you can easily install it yourself and then use it without paying monitoring fees or registering with an alarm company. To arm or disarm the system, simply enter your personal code or use the keychain transmitter. With this user-friendly system, you gain real peace of mind and control over your personal safety and that of your family, employees, and others at your home or business--all without excessive costs or upkeep.

Rolling-Code Technology for Maximum Security and Fewer False Alarms
Skylink is the first company to incorporate rolling-code technology into a home/business security system, which means that the SC-100 provides maximum security while virtually eliminating the number of false alarms. A rolling code (or hopping code) is often used in entry systems that don't require a key, because it prevents an eavesdropper from capturing and using your personal security code. Thanks to rolling-code technology, the SC-100's control panel will recognize radio waves only from its remote sensors (door/window sensor, motion sensor, and keychain transmitter), thereby preventing high-tech thieves from duplicating signals and tampering with your system.

Motion, Door, and Window Sensors Provide Reliable Emergency Protection
The SC-100 comes complete with a motion sensor and two door/window sensors, enough coverage for small- to medium-sized homes. If any sensors are triggered when the system is armed, and the correct pin is not entered, the included 110dB siren will make a piercing sound to ward off intruders and draw attention to your home.

Works with Dial Alert for Immediate Emergency Help
The SC-100 can assist you in getting immediate help in case of an emergency. When its siren goes off, the SC-100 will immediately send a signal to Dial Alert (sold separately), which will call emergency phone numbers that you have preset. When someone answers the phone, your prerecorded message will play, and the contact person will be told that you need emergency help right away.

Easy to Program with Convenient Keypad
The SC-100 includes an easily programmable, lighted keypad with Chime, Instant, and Delay modes. Simply enter your preset pin code to arm or disarm the system; an LED will indicate when the alarm is properly set. All the accessories are preprogrammed to work with the control panel, so you won't have to worry about time-consuming, individual setup of each component.

The SC-100 runs on AC power with one nine-volt battery (included) as backup. A convenient low-battery indicator lets you know when it's time for a replacement. The system also comes with all necessary mounting hardware.

What's in the Box
Alarm with control panel and keypad, motion sensor, two door/window contact sensors, 4B434 keychain transmitter, AC adapter, all DC batteries, mounting materials, and instruction manual.

This kit includes everything you need to guard a medium-sized home. Add up to 30 Skylink accessories for full, customized protection of larger spaces.

5 out of 5 stars Replaced older wireless system   September 6, 2010
Jim in GA
I used this system to replace an older system that had quit working. The Skylink is user friendly, right out of the box. I have since purchased some add-ons and I am very pleased with the system.

5 out of 5 stars Skylink SC-100 Security ?Alarm system   August 19, 2010
Hillbilly Twain (Sparta, TN, USA)
The unit is very easy to setup, just follow the step by step instructions.

It's been in use for 2 months now and has worked flawlessly.

I am very sastified with this kit.

I did not purchase the SC-1000 because I am in a rural area and didn't really need an Auto-
Dialer.

I couldn't be happier with all the Skylink products and Amazon as well.

5 out of 5 stars Great System   August 7, 2010
dkpbone
I'm a single female and wanted a security system when I moved into my new apartment. I didn't want to pay for monthly monitoring so I bought this system with 2 extra keypads, 2 vibration sensors and an extra siren. Set up was easy and I had no trouble at all. I'm still running the same batteries that came with the unit and it's been 8 months. Sirens are loud and I feel will definitely run a thief off.

I set the main control panel and extra siren as high as I could near the ceiling and use the extra keypads to arm/disarm. Intruders may be able to unplug the sirens but with battery backup they will still sound and they would have to find a ladder to jerk them off the wall. I did not use the tape that came with the system. I live in an old historic building and did not want to make holes in the wood window and door trim, so I bought heavy duty velcro tape at Lowe's. Works like a charm. So when/if I get ready to move all I have to do is remove my system and take with.

I recommend reading the book entirely and maybe doing so a couple times and getting it all set out on the table before starting. Plan your zones before you start.

4 out of 5 stars Great basic home security system.   August 4, 2010
ICHKK
I bought the product mainly to alert me if someone enters my house.

Pros.
-Easy to setup
-Has 5 programming settings, can set up 4 zones.
For instance if zone 1 is for the front door and zone 2 is for the motion sensors, you can set one program to beep if zone 1 is activated and alarm if zone 2 is activated. Each zone can have multiple sensors.
-Loud alarm
-Motion sensor pretty reliable. No false detects yet.

Cons.
-Can be pretty easily defeated if you knew what you were dealing with. Cleaver setup of the control unit can help mitigate this.
-Remote can only turn on programs 1 and 2.
-Batteries in door and window sensors are special type of battery. Not your regular AAs or 9V.
-Wish there were some type of low battery alert on the sensors. I think the console has this, but not sure that the sensors do.
-Some key combos are kind of strange. Can probably be implemented better. i.e. Turning on program 1 is like code BC, program 2 is like code A. Why isn't it just A, B, C, D, and E.

Other notes. I saw that some people did not want to permanently attach the sensors by screwing them in. I didn't either. I didn't try the included double sided tape that was suppose to help you mount the sensor (and not for permanent use) because other people said it was not strong enough, but I did go to the hardware store and bought the heavy duty double sided tape (in the paint section) and that thing has not even sagged for over a month. I think it's suppose to be able to hold a few pounds, and the sensors are definitely not that much. The tape may pull of some paint, but fixing that is better than fixing holes.

1 out of 5 stars Inexpensive for a reason   August 1, 2010
Mike M (Texas)
I purchased one of these systems for a metal building in rural central Texas. It was easy to set up, easy to arm and use. Problems with the system are these: the siren is not loud, the siren and chime failed completely within six months and support is non-existent from the Skylink staff. This may be a good alarm for a climate controlled dorm room, but I would suggest a more robust system.
