3 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware   July 21, 2010
Mike
I ordered the CD-9795 Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detector for $59.95. The order was shipped with lighting speed, very pleased with the shipment duration but, I inspected the contents and read the box which contained the Detector and the box indicates a model CD-9795, good so far, exactly what I ordered. I then pulled the detector out and turned it over to ensure the model on the detector was the CD-9795 that I ordered for 59.95. Well, the model in the box was a USI-7795, basically the same unit but, if you actually look up that model number you'll find that Amazon has this product for 37.20, which indicates it's a newer model. So this is very suspicious, selling a product as in a CD-9795 for 59.95 the box arrived indicated a CD-9795 but the content is a USI-7795 which sells for 37.20. This is very deceptive but after contacting Amazon, they took care of the difference and credited my account. Just be sure you're getting what you ordered. That was over a 20 dollar difference, let's say they sell 1000 of these that's a $20,000 dollar windfall over and beyond their cost.
